Referral Program Disclaimers
*Referrals shall be considered qualified and eligible for rewards only if they:
Result in the execution of a new solar contract and the completion of a project with Solar Negotiators.
Include a system with a minimum A/C size of 5.0 kW.
Are properly identified and confirmed prior to or during the referred party’s Welcome Call.
Only referrals submitted on or after 1/1/2020 count toward your total referral count, tier rewards, and bonuses.
- Referral payments totaling over $500 in a fiscal year may have tax implications. Solar Negotiators may request necessary tax information to issue 1099s for referral checks or bonuses. Consult your tax professional for guidance.
Is my referral eligible?
- Eligible referrals must complete a new solar contract and a completed project with Solar Negotiators

When will I receive my referral reward?
We pay you your referral reward based on tier level, once their project is complete.
Referral checks will be written out and mailed to you once the client you referred is installed and their project has been funded. If you’re sure that your friend has completed their project, but your check hasn’t been mailed, please contact us and we’ll help resolve the problem.
How does the tier system work?
Tier 1: First and second successful referral — you’ll receive $1,000.00 for each.
Tier 2: For your third and fourth referral — you’ll receive $1,500.00 for each and expedited scheduling for additional services*.
Tier 3: For referrals five through nine — you’ll receive $2,000.00 for each referral, expedited scheduling, and a 10% discount on additional services*.
- Tier 4: Starting with your tenth referral — you’ll receive a $3,000.00 one time bonus check at your 10th referral, $2,500.00 for each referral moving forward, expedited scheduling, and a 10% discount on additional services* and one additional annual panel cleaning as long as you own your solar system*.
Is their a limit on how many people I can refer?
No. We will pay you for each and every referral you send us as long as you are identified as the referring party by the welcome call. Referrals will carry over year to year starting 1/1/2020, so you have the opportunity reach the next tier even after the fiscal year has ended.
Only referrals submitted on or after 1/1/2020 count toward your total referral count, tier rewards, and bonuses. We truly appreciate all referrals our clients have sent us over the years; however, referrals made before 1/1/2020 cannot be counted retroactively for this program.

Will There Be A 1099?
Referral rewards exceeding $500 in a fiscal year will be reported via IRS Form 1099, and participants are responsible for any tax implications.
What's the duration of this referral program?
The four‑tier referral rewards program begins on January 1, 2026. Referrals submitted on or after this date will qualify for the rewards outlined in the current program. Referrals submitted prior to January 1, 2026 will continue to earn and receive rewards under the program terms that applied at that time. However, all officially earned referrals—past and future—will still count toward your overall tier status. Referral submitted date for the purposes of this program is defined as the date Solar Maintenance Pros/Solar Negotiators learned of the referral.
